La deficiencia de potasio se observa en las hojas viejas, pero cuando es aguda, son los brotes jóvenes los más severamente afectados llegando a secarse; lo más típico, son los brotes y puntas de las hojas viejas secas después de amarillear, se reduce la floración, fructificación y desarrollo de la planta.
